bio
In my own words, I makes things and makes things happen. In other words, I'm a conceptual artist and writer based in East Anglia. I'm research and project based, working across painting, installation, film, performance, text and drawing. My work focuses on examining life, to highlight poetics and connections. I can help with research, funding applications, facilitating shows, working with galleries, mentorship, writing, theory. I received a scholarship to study Fine Art at Norwich University of the Arts, graduating in 2020 with 3 awards. In 2019 I was selected for a mentorship year at Mall Galleries focusing on collaboration and exhibition facilitation. I have since been on 3 residencies including at Antony Gormley’s estate (2021 and 2022), had writing published by UEA Publishing Project (2020), Creeping Expansion Magazine (2021) and Mall Galleries (2019), Artwork featured in The Social Distance Art Project 'New Graduates' catalogue (2021), Elephant Magazine (2020) and Art Pulse Magazine (2018) and have exhibited nationally, most notably at Norwich and Norfolk Festival (2021), East Gallery (2019) and Mall Galleries (2019). In 2021, I won the Firstsite Collectors Bursary Award and in 2022 I won an A-N Bursary Award. I have a range of experience across the arts-- as a Gallery Assistant at East Gallery (2019), Snape Maltings (2021), Visitor Assistant at Britten Pears Arts (2021). I currently split my time between Norwich Theatre Royal in the Box Office (2021-), Norwich Festival as a Community Artist (2022-) where I help facilitate arts activities for young people and OUTPOST Gallery (2021-) as a steering committee member, programming and delivering the activities and events for the gallery. I'm also a freelance workshop facilitator and practising artist. It's all about spinning plates.
