Calling all artists & designers to submit an image for the cover of the Autumn/Winter 2024 issue. We are looking for a cover that can really - Blow the Trumpet to celebrate the Magazine. The Winner will see their work published on the cover and exhibited in the windows of Jack Barclay. The runners-up will have their submissions published inside the magazine.

Call for artists and illustrators making work with a political or social commentary between 2016 and 2024. It does not have to be overt or party political - but something that responds to these years, society or hopes for the future. This is an online show from March to November 2024 and will also appear in physical pop-ups across the UK during these dates. No hanging fees or other charges. If chosen - the work will be licensed for use in the show and a range of fine art prints or illustration merchandise will be made from it.

Our Digital residency program is a series of online artist residencies designed to elevate emerging artists / forge long-lasting connections between artistic communities and intensify the accessibility of art ideation. This residency includes - a 2 week Instagram takeover - sharing work / ideas or process every day. Your artist statement and bio are highlighted in a month long landing page feature. A written interview for a permanent media story. An invitation to show work in an annual physical group exhibition.

We are welcoming new proposals for artists to take up residency with us in 2025. This residency offers an environment for artists to develop projects that explore new processes / ideas / techniques and critical thinking. We will work responsively with your research and development proposal and can support your practice through mentoring / bid writing / access to audio-visual resources / a project space and unique archival resources.

For the 2025/2026 season - we will organize a series of exhibitions on the broad theme of sexuality. From eroticism to lgbt / queer and non-binary themes / from fetish to bdsm / to postpornography. All without any kind of censorship - because art is and must always remain a free expression of human thought and creativity.

Open Call for a Group Exhibition in Rome in September 2025. Open to all artists working with photography / video and digital techniques who are interested in experiencing - Northernness. The theme - which is intentionally broad invites artists to engage with either the geographic—everything connected to - the North — or an imagined place shaped by mythology / imagination and fantasy. What is the North and how can it be represented or perceived through images and visual arts?
